Artisanelle Gallery sells locally made Cornish Crafts. We are situated next to St. Just Primary School and Shelly’s the Hairdresser in West Place. Artisanelle sells a wide variety of craft work from handy hedgerow baskets, craftily carved tree spirits, curvaceous ceramics, fabulous felted hats and bags to dainty hand knitted dish cloths and exceptionally fine jewllery.
Bridget Gibbs the owner of the gallery studied at St Martin’s School of Art and has over the years turned her hand to a wide variety of crafts from Knitware, Ceramics and Silver Jewellery to giant withy and paper Processional Sculptures for our own Lafrowda Festival - held every year in July - and of which she was a founder. She was the costume designer for the Ordinalia Company who produced the cycle of Cornish Miracle plays in what is said to be the oldest outdoor theatre in Britain, the Plen-an-Gwary next to the clock tower in St Just.
